Is this not a lovely haul to unwrap on a Thursday morning?
Last week, I won a competition on BeeBeeMod, home of the generous Jen. This morning this lovely lot were delivered- and they weren't even the proper prize! That was an ever so clever shopping bag, which rolls up into a teeny tiny portable wee thing. Here it is, with a pattern for scale:
Thank you, Jen!
The pattern is the internet's other love token to me in today's post.
I ordered it as part of my winter dress quest last week, and I think I can squeeze the view C jumper into the 1.5m of herringbone fabric I bought then for Simplicity 3631 (It'll mean splitting the back piece into skirt and bodice, but I think I can cope with a back waist seam, if it's going to save me from buying a whole new 2.3m of fabric, as per the pattern envelope!)
See? I knew the blogosphere was a truly productive place to spend my time!

Love the patterns! You've inspired me to find some cool retro fabrics to line my bags. Now I'm actually excited to line them and I haven't sewed in YEARS!
Lucky you!
wow... lucky girl!
:)
prettyful!
That is lovely! Envy....
Your flatmate has referred me to you as she says you have a jumper-worth of mohair you might be willing to sell at a good price?
Perhaps you could contact me at mrs.redboots@yahoo.co.uk (public e-mail address)....?
I love free stuff in the mail. I have that brown and blue wallpaper amy butler ... I've been making it into pin boards - almost did a skirt - still thinking on that one. Are you gonna share???
hi there, i've been a big fan of your blog for a while, and you look pretty fluent in sewing, and i have an amateur sewing question.
i want to order a pattern online, but i'm not sure what size to pick. 8? 10? 12? you seem to be an expert, how do i know which size to pick? all i know is the shopping mall sizes, 4, 6-how do i translate the sewing sizes into a language i understand? they don't offer any guides for the lost.
mmmm...what tasty fabric! I particularly like the one with the jolly apples.
What a great haul!
What a great haul! Those prints are great! I love the sleeves on that dress, it wil make a great winter dress.
Fantastic! That is an absolutely wonderful selection of stuff! How will you use that lovely blue/green, black with tiny yellow dot fabric? It is to die for!!!!
