Sort of my own handiwork

I selected these beads and strung them onto some elastic all by myself, does that count as making a necklace?
Modeled here with the gorgeous slipover top Flatmate Alice made for me last year- it gets a lot of wear, particularly in the inbetween seasons!
Here's a closeup:
You can really see the lovely burnished wood on the beads, and the tweedy-fluffy-angorayness of the jumper. Texture happiness!

I added you to my blog roll at http://embracecreate.blogspot.com/.

You might want to check out my flickr page (link on my blog) I have some fab apron patterns I just stole (was given) by my mother.

Sew on!

I love this vest/slipover! I wonder if the pattern is available in the US...

Thank you!

Heather, the vest pattern is from one of Jaeger's old luxury tweed books (the sadly discontinued yarn it is knit out of). There are some more details over on Slippedstitch, I've linked through in the main post. It was for sale in the US originally, but it was discontinued, so it may be hard to find.
That said, I'm sure you could make it up yourself, there's no weird tricks to it!
